   Brancheninitiative Prozessoptimierung (BiPRO e.V.) The Brancheninitiative Prozessoptimierung was initiated among others by the RheinLand Versicherungsgruppe, the VHV and further insurances to optimize processes around the insurance industry (e.g. the communication between brokers and insurances but also by introducing online editing of request forms, etc.)
It is planned to define and pass standards. The BiPRO is currently coordinated by the AMC but it will exist in the future as an independent organization.
The inubit AG is strongly committed within the BiPRO especially with respect to implementing standards via SOA and Web Services based on XML. As a member of the "EDNA-Initiative e.V.", a German association of software suppliers, business consultants, IT-service providers, and users within the energy market, inubit got involved as a partner for process automation within the energy market. EDNA's objective is to bring forward the automation of business processes between the business partners in the energy market and to implement existing and new standards for electronic data interchange within software products and to make these standards therewith "purchasable". In parallel, it can be guaranteed via a certification process and an EDNA-quality seal that the IT-systems, e.g. the process packages of the inubit AG, really fulfill the defined standards. Due to that the user becomes a much higher decision and investment safety since time-consuming programming of interfaces and integration efforts will become redundant. Furthermore, due to the automation of business processes significant economical potentials will be generated. GS1 Germany (in former times CCG, Centrale für Coorganisation GmbH) is the service provider and competence center for cross-company course of businesses in the German consumer goods industry and its adjacent industrial sectors. GS1 is the original member of the international EAN-organization, whose standards are implemented today in 129 countries. GS1 Germany is an accredited streamlining association regarding the antitrust law and institution of the standards committee of data- and merchandise traffic, in the consumer goods industry (NDWK) in the DIN. Its regulations regarding the world standards EAN with the identification systems for products, services, locations and packages are important recommendations for otimizing business processes. With EANCOM and the supplementary WebEDI- and XML-standards GS1 created the conditions for economization of the electronic exchange of business data. Besides the technical standards process standards with global demand regarding ECR-strategies (efficient consumer response) figure a decisive role. As institution of the ECR Deutschland-Initiative, GS1 works together with different regional and global initiatives. The developed service offers, developed by the GS1, especially the SINFOS-article master data portal, receive with this additional international dimensions. Further information you will find at GS1 Germany | PINK (Plattform für intelligente Kollaborationsportale) PINK (Plattform für intelligente Kollaborationsportale) is an innovative, regional growth nucleus promoted by the BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung). The research project with partners of the region Berlin-Brandenburg has a term from November 2004 until October 2007 and commences the workings of the first term of its growth nucleus lasting from October 2001 to December 2003.
The allies of the consortium are: Aidos Software AG, AM-Soft Potsdam IT-Systeme GmbH, ART+COM AG, Chemie.DE Information Service GmbH, Condat AG, EsPresto AG, inubit AG, neofonie GmbH, Projektron GmbH, and Zertificon Solutions GmbH as well as the FU Berlin and the University of Potsdam. Mostly the companies have already united since 2001 within an association.
Subject matter of the research project PINK is the development of innovative procedures as a basis of a construction-kit-solution that enables companies to assemble a portal solution via mouse click adjusted to their needs. Extensive development times and costs are avoided. Small and medium sized companies are enabled to take part in global business relations via internet and thus become more competitive.

| XML-city Berlin XML and the standards around it that will emerge in the next years are the most important basis of the IT industry in the next ten years for the development of keeping, evaluating, and communicating data. XML technologies will have an important part in the turnovers in all major business fields of B2C and B2B via the Internet as well as in all business internal proceedings.
xmlcity:berlin bundles the XML competence of the region Berlin-Brandenburg. Its members belong to companies, research establishments, as well as governmental and semi-governmental organizations.
