Targeting the process optimization between insurance companies and agents, professional and technical processes, data models as well as Service-oriented Architectures (SOA) are developed in conjoint projects by the “Brancheninitiative Prozessoptimierung” (BiPRO e.V.) (“industry initiative for process optimization") to realize cross-company processes as efficient as possible. Current BiPRO projects are:

- Rating, offer / application property-, accident-, third party liability
- Automated transfer of documents, operations and GDV-data
- External navigation in enterprise portals
- Rating, offer / application life
Further projects in the sectors of car insurances, health insurances and claim handling processes are planned.
In order to use these BiPRO conventions fast and cost-effectively by insurance companies, inubit provides for all developed BiPRO conventions preconfigured process packages. These process packages assure the BiPRO compliant implementation of the conventions. A process package consists of business processes (Business Workflows) and executable technical processes (Technical Workflows) which can be imported as complete configurations in the inubit BPM-Suite and are therefore immediately executable.
The Technical Workflows are structured in a way, that the inbounds and outbounds for the connection of insurance company individual IT systems can be carried out via predefined positions (sub-workflows and specially marked modules).
The process package itself remains independent, due to the company individual customization and it can be updated by future versions with a few efforts, if the BiPRO conventions require an updating.
Functional range of the preconfigured BiPRO process packages
- Processing of BiPRO-schema files and -WDSL-templates
- Processing of company individual schema and WSDL files under the condition of the defined BiPRO convention (redefine and policy)
- Schema and policy check for incoming and outgoing messages in connection with BiPRO-compliant error handling
- Synchronous communication model with status object, based on http and https
- Asynchronous communication model with placing and administration of process IDs and context mapping of asynchronous get status() messages
- Support of the BiPRO authentication process (username, password) and session handlings with a company-specific authentication system
- Support of the BiPRO error handling with a company-specific generation system for error-/ message content
- Support of the BiPRO version control model for web service interfaces
- BiPRO conform transport of PDF documents parallel to XML data
- Request and response for methods like rating, offer, application as well as get status
- Template implementation of these methods
The process packages provide the complete BiPRO-conform external web service interface including the security token service and map the processes optimally.
