austriamicrosystems uses inubit BPM-Suite for process control

Flexibilization of B2B processes and integration of internal systems

Berlin, October 6, 2009 – austriamicrosystems AG, developer and manufacturer of analogous ICs (integrated circuits) for communication, industry, medical technology and automotive appliances, opted for the inubit BPM-Suite as process management software in order to organize its B2B processes more flexible and consolidate its IT structure.

In doing so, not only the complete coverage of the required functionalities regarding the communication and integration was pivotal. Furthermore, the solution should convince with an easy implementation and handling of processes and connections, and also provide functionalities for process modeling and monitoring. “The inubit BPM-Suite could effectively prove this consistency within a standard product during the selection process”, said Hubert Gusmagg, responsible project manager at austriamicrosystems.

So far, in the project, communication processes towards the most important customers have been realized via the RosettaNet standard which is widely-spread within the high tech industry. More communication processes with further business partners are still being integrated. austriamicrosystems does not only apply the inubit BPM-Suite as innovative communication technology, but also uses the standard software for integrating internal systems. Thereby, the integration level is not limited to data integration, but the data integration is mapped process-orientedly. A shop-floor system and a web shop to the SAP system have already been integrated in this manner.

Due to the agile process control of the inubit BPM-Suite, austriamicrosystems has now the potential to improve the quality of its own processes continuously. Already today, the company profits from shorter response times, lower processing times and a significantly increased automated processing of single process steps.
