Berlin, 16 December 2009 – inubit AG, the leading provider of software for establishing service-oriented architectures, has now added another company from the health care sector to its portfolio of customers: InterComponentWare AG (ICW). The inubit BPM-Suite from the Berlin company is used in the context of the IT implementation of the “LifeSensor” health file by the Walldorf-based eHealth specialist ICW.
With LifeSensor as a personal web-based health file, individuals can store important medical documents and data in an organized manner, retrieve them at any time and therefore positively support their health care in the long run. To cover the IT processes running in the background of the health file, the inubit BPM-Suite is used as the SOA platform (Enterprise Service Bus) for establishing a flexible and scalable IT architecture and for efficient process integration.
The inubit BPM-Suite uses web services to integrate front-end-based processes from the LifeSensor portal with back-end processes such SAP as well as various databases that provide the required business logic. Among other things, the entire registration process for new customers who want to use LifeSensor in the future has already been implemented. A strict distinction is made between the front-end, the process logic in the inubit suite and the business logic in the back-end systems. This made it very easy, for example, to enable not just manual registration but also a process for bulk registration. The inubit BPM-Suite is also used to improve customer service processes. To do so, the HP OpenView Service Desk, which covers the areas of incident (helpdesk), problem, change, configuration and service level management, was integrated using the inubit software.
Following its successful introduction in Germany, the process has already been transplanted to Austria, Switzerland and the USA. Due to different legal conditions and payment methods, the rollout into other countries required an adjustment of the process logic. However, thanks to the high level of flexibility of the inubit BPM-Suite, this adjustment – including the various languages – could be made in a very short space of time. In the future, the inubit BPM software will support additional processes.
