Berlin, May 18, 2010 – inubit AG, the leading provider of BPM (business process management) software, has become the first company in the world to offer BPM that can be used on a mobile basis. Using the “inubit App for mobile BPM” app on an iPhone or iPod touch, you can access business processes, edit tasks and view business data at any time, no matter where you are. The inubit iPhone app is already available to download for free from the App Store. This app is inubit’s response to the growing acceptance of the iPhone in the business sector. The company also offers solutions for other mobile devices.
Using the inubit iPhone App, employees and managers who are traveling or who work from mobile workplaces can be seamlessly and actively integrated into company processes. This is possible for all processes that can be controlled or monitored using the inubit BPM-Suite 5.3. The most important functions include editing of tasks and forms, including delegation and escalation. So that the individual user tasks can be easily and simply assigned and more quickly processed, the connections between tasks and process models are shown clearly. Employees on the move can start new processes using what are known as ad hoc tasks. While ongoing processes can be technically monitored using the Process Monitor, dashboards depict business data and key figures in real time. The inubit iPhone app enables users to access business process diagrams, organizational charts and system diagrams. Important documents from the document management system can also be easily opened and edited if required.
Productive use
Users can connect to their company’s internal inubit BPM-Suite 5.3 via the inubit iPhone app, allowing direct, productive use. The corresponding server settings can be easily adjusted. A process package that provides the necessary workflows for connecting the iPhone “out of the box” is also available. In order to make existing forms suitable for use with the iPhone, the task modules used can be easily configured. Comprehensive documentation explains how to integrate the iPhone app in productive business processes.
Unlike conventional mobility solutions, the combination of the inubit iPhone app and inubit BPM-Suite allows you to configure any number of processes, optimally integrating mobile devices. Another distinctive feature of the inubit iPhone app is that the familiar easy operation of the inubit BPM-Suite is now also ensured for mobile users.
In addition to the standard process interaction functions, the inubit iPhone app also allows the use of functions that are specific to the iPhone. Photos or dictations, as well as GPS position information, can be easily integrated into company forms and processes. This leads to a complete spectrum of new application areas.
Showcase & screencast
In order to give you a first impression of the “inubit App for mobile BPM” , inubit has created a showcase that can be used via the default server that is pre-configured in the app. Claim processing at an insurance company is used as an example scenario. You can find a screencast at www.inubit.com/iphone.
