Berlin, April 15, 2009 – Today, the inubit AG, leading provider in the field of SOA-based Business Process Management (BPM), announces the availability of the new release 5.2 of the inubit BPM-Suite. It is a high-performance, standard based software for the integrated optimization, automation and monitoring of business processes.
The new version of the BPM-Suite by inubit enables with immediate effect the integrated use of business rules. Business users use the business rules to configure business processes. They directly affect the technical execution level. The new business rules functionality offers the option to formalize and automate decisions in business processes as rules, and tasks can be rule-based delivered or delegated to employees. Immediately after their creation, business rules can be deployed company-wide on technical level as well as on business level and they can be adjusted directly in the inubit Enterprise Portal. Controlling business processes via centrally administered rules increases the flexibility of applications and supports fast changes within the complex process implementations by business users.
The necessity to integrate business users constantly into processes is accounted for example by linking a task with the respective process step in the process model. Now, users can change directly from the inubit Enterprise Portal to the process model while working on a task, in order to see in which context they received this specific task resp. how they are supposed to handle this task.
Furthermore, the new release supports BPMN 1.2, the current version of the modeling standard. Simple Profiles for BPMN-based Business Process Diagrams have now been included and help entrance level users to get acquainted with BPMN modeling, which is the more and more prevailing standard. The Simple Profile provides a simplified view on Business Process Diagrams. In this view only the most important core elements are displayed. Additionally, a new converter eases the transition from UML-based Activity Diagrams to BPMN-Business Process Diagrams. So, for longtime users, inubit paves the way to change easily to the modern modeling notation BPMN.
On technical level, the inubit BPM-Suite 5.2 offers from now on a Point-in-Time Recovery and with this supports sophisticated operational scenarios. The Point-in-Time Recovery complements the already existing backup and restore mechanisms and allows restoring the BPM software by inubit exactly to a certain status at any point in time, including all process data. Additionally, the new release comprises a completely integrated test environment for unit tests. With this, processes can be tested automatically before deployment and they can be subject to quality assurance.
In the field of the inubit Enterprise Portal, the inubit BPM-Suite 5.2 provides the new Liferay version 5.2.2, besides Liferay 4.2. This new version does not only offer an improved administration user interface for creating users, groups and rights, but also supports completely the portlet standards JSR 168, JSR 286 and Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP) 2.0. The Microsoft® SharePoint protocol for storage and retrieval of Microsoft® Office documents is supported as well.
All users of the inubit BPM-Suite are able to change immediately to the new version. Interested parties can request further information and a trial version at www.inubit.com.
