Berlin, March 31, 2010 – inubit AG, the leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) software, is announcing the availability of Release 5.3 of the inubit BPM-Suite. The development of the new version is all about designing and implementing business processes even more efficiently. The main benefit of BPM - flexible management and automation of processes - grows in proportion to the comprehensiveness and efficiency of the underlying BPM-Suite. Release 5.3 of the inubit BPM-Suite has therefore been enhanced with numerous functions that increase efficiency: For example, you can model business processes more easily and generate technical workflows directly from the process models. In addition, there are significantly more simulation options and the SOA Maps offer a new diagram type. As always, compliance with standards and the openness of the system are very important to inubit. Release 5.3 supports the new BPMN 2.0 standard and provides options for the extended export and import of process models.
Efficient process modeling and automatic generation
A graphical context menu now makes it easier to model business processes. Only the elements that can be used in a meaningful way in the current context are available for selection. To make process automation more efficient, you can generate directly executable technical workflows from the process models. Using configurable templates makes this generation possible. You can also generate XML schemas from modeled business objects. This also includes the generation of the entire persistence layer as well as the CRUD access services (Create, Read, Update and Delete).
Complex simulation
An extended simulation takes into account all available resources such as employees and their working times, tools and basic materials even before the process model is technically implemented. You can also take into account ACTUAL capacities from external systems. This makes realistic simulation possible; actual lead times are determined and possible bottlenecks are detected.
SOA Maps
With this new diagram type, the inubit BPM-Suite supports service-oriented analysis. An SOA Map visualizes an SOA structure across the different organizational levels of BPM, from the business process level to the underlying IT systems. An SOA Map also shows how front-ends, process, orchestration and basic service components are distributed across various applications. An SOA Map thus provides important information about the interaction of these components and makes it possible to record the technical aspects of an SOA in a structured form.
Efficient process management
Thanks to end-to-end version management, changes to process models can be traced. They
are immediately shown in the technical process and can be traced via the context menu.
Information about changes is also forwarded to external systems, keeping the models of the
BPM-Suite and external systems synchronized. To increase user-friendliness even more,
additional new features were added to the Enterprise Portal, including reports that are displayed
in the form of animated flash cards and visualized key performance indicators. Users can also
start ad-hoc processes directly in the portal.
All users of the inubit BPM-Suite can now upgrade to the new version. If you are interested,
